Sexagenarian’s murder sparks tension
Tension prevailed for some time in Azampura under Chaderghat police station limits, after a 64-year-old man was allegedly murdered by a youngster belonging to another community following heated argument over usage of DJ.
Hyderabad: Tension prevailed for some time in Azampura under Chaderghat police station limits, after a 64-year-old man was allegedly murdered by a youngster belonging to another community following heated argument over usage of DJ. The elderly man, who was on his way to prayer, objected to the DJ being played at a religious programme. An argument ensued, which resulted in the attack on the man allegedly with a lethal weapon. The man who received multiple injuries died on the spot. Later the person, responsible for the murder surrendered to the police. The locality, where the incident took place, is close to Naga Devta Temple, Azampura Kanta.
Heavy police force was deployed in Azampura and surrounding areas which are considered communally sensitive. The nearby areas are kept on alert to avoid any untoward incident.
