Intl kidney racket busted; Doctor among 4 held

The Task Force (West) Police on Monday busted a kidney racket in the city and arrested four persons including a doctor. Briefing about the gang’s modus operandi, police said Hirdesh, a doctor, was maintaining a network of agents/sub-agents, donors and recipients in conspiracy with one Raghavender, Ashok and Sanjay and would earn a commission of Rs 8 lakh per donor.

Briefing about the gang’s modus operandi, police said Hirdesh, a doctor, was maintaining a network of agents/sub-agents, donors and recipients in conspiracy with one Raghavender, Ashok and Sanjay and would earn a commission of Rs 8 lakh per donor. “It was revealed that the total package for kidney transplantation is Rs 30 lakh and 8 lakh as commission would be given to Hirdesh. The accused along with seized material were handed over to CCS, Hyderabad for necessary action.
