Four Nigerians held for peddling drugs
A drug peddling racket was busted by the Jubilee Hills police here on Tuesday with the arrest of four Nigerians, including two from the city. Two other Nigerians, Victor and Patrick, are absconding. Ninety grams of cocaine powder, 40 packets of ganja, six mobile phones, three weighing machines besides Rs 10,000 and two Nigerain passports were seized from the foreigners.

The accused Rotimi Olusola Kehinde alias Sola alias Sultan, 29, Samson Ebuka, 24, Uzor Promise Chukwudi, 29 and Attoh Bosha Kelvin, 33 and their associates Anuga Shushanth Reddy, 28, a film director of Manikonda and Panasa Ravi Kumar, 35, a businessman of Jubilee Hills were also nabbed.
On reliable information that a few Nigerians were in possession of the cocaine (a banned product under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) and were supplying it to potential customers, Jubilee Hills police along with staff of CCS anti-narcotic cell apprehended the accused with the contraband near Jubilee Hills Check Post.
“Samson confessed that he supplies the drug to Tollywood artistes for exorbitant rates through Rotimi, Uzor, Attoh, Kelvin and Victor. Rotimi and Uzor, who were arrested earlier and served jail terms in the past, started committing the same offence after their release from jail. Rotimi and Uzor purchase the drug anywhere between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 per gram and supply the same to Samson for Rs 3,000, who in turn supplies to Tollywood artistes and other customers for Rs 5,000,” DCP (W) A Venkateshwara Rao said. The accused have been booked under PD Act.
