A section officer of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was caught red-handed by the sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday.Mir Mehdi Ali, section officer of Circle IV, Town Planning Section (South), Hyderabad and his subordinate, N Vamshi were nabbed by the police on Monday evening for accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 at his office. Mehdi Ali directed Vamshi to collect the money to do an official favour to the complainant,
Hyderabad: A section officer of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was caught red-handed by the sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday.Mir Mehdi Ali, section officer of Circle IV, Town Planning Section (South), Hyderabad and his subordinate, N Vamshi were nabbed by the police on Monday evening for accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 at his office. Mehdi Ali directed Vamshi to collect the money to do an official favour to the complainant, Syed Ghouse, for granting permission for construction of his house building, an ACB release said. The duo was arrested and produced before ACB Court.
