One held for extortion threat
The Railway Protection Force (RFF) has arrested one person who was trying to extort money from passengers at gun point. According to South Central Railway, on 23rd March, the RPF Security Control Room at Secunderabad Division received a complaint from a passenger of Train No 17006 Darbhanga Express stating that one person was threatening fellow passengers
Hyderabad: The Railway Protection Force (RFF) has arrested one person who was trying to extort money from passengers at gun point. According to South Central Railway, on 23rd March, the RPF Security Control Room at Secunderabad Division received a complaint from a passenger of Train No 17006 Darbhanga Express stating that one person was threatening fellow passengers in the coach for disabled with a pistol and extorting money.
The matter was informed to RPF Post/Kazipet, who in turn rushed to the train along with Government Railway Police Personnel and apprehended the accused by name Manoj Kumar Yadav of Achina Village, in Haryana State. Upon conducting search, the said person was found to be in possession of Rs 15,000 which he extorted from fellow passengers. The pistol recovered from the culprit was found to be a toy pistol. The accused was handed over to Government Railway Police, Kazipet, who registered a case and took up further investigation.
