Jilted lover held for taking revenge through Whatsapp and Facebook
In an act of revenge, a 30-year-old man posted objectionable contents of his friend on Whatsapp and Facebook after she allegedly spurned his advances and refused his marriage proposal. Md Abdul Kashif, residing at Chandrayanagutta was arrested on Thursday on charges of sending obscene, vulgar and threatening mails.
Hyderabad: In an act of revenge, a 30-year-old man posted objectionable contents of his friend on Whatsapp and Facebook after she allegedly spurned his advances and refused his marriage proposal. Md Abdul Kashif, residing at Chandrayanagutta was arrested on Thursday on charges of sending obscene, vulgar and threatening mails.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim, a resident of Asifnagar, Central Crime Station (CCS) police registered a case and took up the investigation. During probe, it was found that Abdul, an intermediate dropout, came in contact with the victim and developed friendship through social sites. Later, the relationship turned sour when she came to know that Abdul was jobless and constantly stalking her. Upset with her rejection, the accused planned to take revenge for the snub by sending obscene mails and SMSs. Police team got the IP address with the help of technical experts and the accused was finally arrested on Friday.
