Young lovers commit suicide in Khammam

Khammam: Two young lovers allegedly committed suicide at Gangaram Tanda in Singareni mandal in Khammam district on Thursday. According to information, Jatot Yakub, 20, a school drop-out, and Guguloth Renuka, 15, studying Class VII in Gate Kareapalli School, were in love for the past one year.

On Thursday, Renuka’s relatives, who saw her chatting with Yakub, warned her not to do so. Upset over this, Renuka went into her house and consumed insecticide. Neighbours, who found her unconscious, rushed her to the Government Hospital in Khammam. On hearing that Renuka’s condition was serious, Yakub committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train.
