The government railway police (GRP) at Mahabubabad have seized a total of 129 kilogram of ganja from the possession of a person onboard Konark Express on Friday. The worth of the ganja was said to be around three lakh rupees. According to the GRP sub-inspector Govardhan the accused, identified as Mithusen(30) who belongs to Rugumu village in Ganjam district of Odisha state.

Warangal: The government railway police (GRP) at Mahabubabad have seized a total of 129 kilogram of ganja from the possession of a person onboard Konark Express on Friday. The worth of the ganja was said to be around three lakh rupees. According to the GRP sub-inspector Govardhan the accused, identified as Mithusen(30) who belongs to Rugumu village in Ganjam district of Odisha state.

He boarded Mumbai bound Konark Express train at Vishakapatnam. The police conducted search operations in the train after it arrived at Mahabubabad railway station around 7.45 am on the day following a tip-off about the smuggling of the ganja. During the search they found 65 packets of ganja packed in eight bags. The accused was arrested and a case has been booked against him by the police.
