Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills Police on Tuesday said they had arrested a servant and recovered gold ornaments stolen from the residence of Global Hospital chairman. The incident happened on April 3. Acting on a complaint from Dr K Ravindranath, Chairman and Managing Director of Global Hospital on April 8, that his valuables were missing and that the servant, Venkata Satyanarayana, 26, could be behind the act as he was absconding since then, a case was registered under Section 381 of the IPC and police took up investigation.

During investigation, police detained and interrogated him. “He confessed that on April 3 he committed the offence and left for his native place Amalapuram in East Godavari district,” sub-inspector Ramesh said adding that Satyanarayana was employed at the chairman’s house located on Road No. 25 for the past three months. Following which, cops recovered three diamond necklaces, gold rudraksha malas, and gold jewellery from his possession.
