Woman allegedly raped for 3 months
A 27-year-old woman was confined within a small dark room in Kakatiya Nagar in Neredmet and was continuously raped by the ‘abductor’ and his friends. Based on a complaint by the victim’s mother on Friday, Neredmet police registered a case under Section 344, 355, 324, and 509 of the IPC and took up investigation.
Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman was confined within a small dark room in Kakatiya Nagar in Neredmet and was continuously raped by the ‘abductor’ and his friends. Based on a complaint by the victim’s mother on Friday, Neredmet police registered a case under Section 344, 355, 324, and 509 of the IPC and took up investigation.
It was revealed that the victim, a resident of Balaji Nagar was forcefully detained by Nalla Narender, victim’s partner, with whom she was living for quite some time in Kakatiya Nagar. “Nalla and the victim were living together since November last year. The trauma started when Nalla used to assault her brutally and his friends started visiting his house and repeatedly raped her,” the cops said.
But the victim’s ordeal did not end here. A couple of days back she was made to drink a toxic chemical, resulting severe burn injuries to her lips and mouth, according to police. “She managed to free herself from the clutches of the accused and reached her home and narrated the incident to her mother. Subsequently, a complaint was lodged,” the cops said, adding that the victim has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
