Woman axes mother-in-law to death
In a ghastly incident, a woman axed her mother-in-law to death over a land dispute, in Mittasadagodu village of Vanguru mandal in the district on Saturday, and fled the scene. According to police, the deceased Jillella Jangamma, 60, has two sons who were living separately.

According to police, the deceased Jillella Jangamma, 60, has two sons who were living separately. The two brothers, who use to frequently clash over the issue of dividing the agricultural lands among themselves, had accused their mother of not distributing the land equitably.
She distributed bigger area of land to her younger son and daughter-in-law much to the disappointment of her elder daughter-in-law. While Jangamma was washing dishes on Saturday morning, her elder daughter-in-law, Venkatamma, hacked her to death with an axe and fled the scene.
