The Marketing Intelligence Team of the Central Crime Station (CCS) on Tuesday arrested a person who has allegedly cheating unemployed youth to the tune of lakhs of rupees by posing himself as High Court advocate. The police identified the arrested person as Md Gazani alias MK Sameer Reddy, a resident of Maruthi Nagar in Santoshnagar.

Hyderabad: The Marketing Intelligence Team of the Central Crime Station (CCS) on Tuesday arrested a person who has allegedly cheating unemployed youth to the tune of lakhs of rupees by posing himself as High Court advocate. The police identified the arrested person as Md Gazani alias MK Sameer Reddy, a resident of Maruthi Nagar in Santoshnagar.


The police swung into action after a complaint was lodged by four victims against Gazani from whom police recovered original SSC certificate, original Intermediate certificate, original Degree consolidated memo of OU and a dual SIM mobile phone. According to police, Md Gazani, who is unemployed, used to approach gullible youth with an offer to get clerical jobs in the High Court, City Civil Courts and various other government departments.


And, posing as an advocate of the High Court he would demand money anywhere between Rs 1 and Rs 1.5 lakh in exchange of jobs in the government departments. “After collecting the money, he used to avoid their calls and shift his base of operation,” the cops said adding that on credible information he was arrested on Tuesday at Santoshnagar under the supervision of ACP (Cyber Crimes) B Anuradha..
