Transgenders, traders clash
In bizarre incident, 15 transgenders and local merchants clashed with each other at Suraram Market here on Wednesday. Around noon, a transgender was visiting shops to collect alms, but a shopkeeper, who got annoyed, refused to give money. The transgender cursed the shopkeeper and tried to manhandle the shopkeeper.

Around noon, a transgender was visiting shops to collect alms, but a shopkeeper, who got annoyed, refused to give money. The transgender cursed the shopkeeper and tried to manhandle the shopkeeper.
He then phoned his companions and told them about the issue. Over 15 transgenders rushed to the spot and beat up the shopkeeper. On seeing this, other shopkeepers came to his rescue and thrashed the transgenders. Later, all shopkeepers in the market filed a complaint at the Dundigal police station. Following this, police took 15 transgenders into custody and released them after some time with a warning.
