Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have formed five special teams to nab Amit Singh, who allegedly stabbed two sisters – Sangireddy Srilekha and Sangireddy Yamini - to death at their house at Commercial Tax Colony in Chaitanyapuri on Tuesday morning.

Police said that Amit had executed the heinous offence in a pre-planned and meticulous manner. After the offence, he had contacted his father Amar Singh and then switched off his cell phone. Amar Singh, a native of Bihar, had settled in Shadnagar and has a poultry farm. The family owns a DCM van.

Soon after the offence, investigating team went to Amar Singh’s house, but found the door locked. “Amar Singh went to a junior college in Shadnagar where his daughter was studying and took her out saying that a relative met with an accident,” the police said.

The police who suspected that Amit and his family members were on the run together confirmed on Wednesday that the family members were in the city and only Amit was absconding. “The family members are co-operating with the investigation.

After the incident, they moved out of the house for a short period but returned to their house,” DCP (LB Nagar) Tafseer Iqubal said adding that cops were hunting for the absconding accused and exuded confidence that they would nab him soon. A case was registered against Amit under Section 302 (murder) of IPC. Further probe is on.
