Three of a gang held
The police arrested three members of a gang notorious for thefts and recovered 21 tolas of gold ornaments from their possession on Saturday. According to Goshamahal Division Police, Shahinayathgunj police arrested Kamble Deepak alias Bokudu alias Raju, 22, the kingpin of the gang, along with his associates Kamble Aakash alias Bandiyahave and financier cum receiver of stolen property Kamble Veeru alias Mirinda.

All the accused are residents of Afzal Sagar in Mallepally and work at different workshops. They confessed to have committed 16 offences and stole gold ornaments and cash from the commuters in the limits of various police stations of West Zone. The police recovered gold ornaments worth seven lakh rupees from their possession. Sub Inspector Venkatesh has taken up the investigation under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) A Venkateshwar Rao.
