Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man was crushed to death when an Army vehicle knocked down a motorcycle near Suchitra circle under Bowenpally police station limits on Wednesday morning. Police identified the deceased as Lakshman, a resident of Bowenpally. The Army vehicle, which was going towards Bowenpally around 10 am, collided with a Pulsar bike, injuring two persons.

Later, it also hit another bike, killing Lakshman on the spot. The Army truck then hit another two-wheeler, injuring one more person before coming to a halt, sub-inspector B Srinivas said. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured, Damodar Reddy, 45, Srinivas, 35, and Murali Krishna, 31, to a private hospital.

However, the police suspected that the driver of the Army vehicle could have lost control of the vehicle and have stepped on the accelerator instead slamming on the brake. Eyewitnesses alleged that the vehicle was being driven in a rash and negligent manner.
