Police and forest officials seized 100 red sanders logs from a truck at Anjaneyapuram, 20 km from here on Wednesday. According to information reaching here, police on a tip-off started checking vehicles near the check post at Anjaneyapuram and found logs hidden in a heavy-loaded truck bound to Chennai.

According to information reaching here, police on a tip-off started checking vehicles near the check post at Anjaneyapuram and found logs hidden in a heavy-loaded truck bound to Chennai.
Preliminary enquiry by police revealed that the logs were loaded into the truck by the smugglers in the forest area near Kodur for transporting them to Chennai.
Police took the truck driver into custody and investigating the case.
