Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team of Cyberabad police on Sunday raided a farmhouse in Yacharam mandal of Rangareddy district and arrested 29 persons, including the organisers, for indulging in cockfights.
The police seized Rs 3.02 lakh in cash, 21 cocks, eight cars, a two-wheeler, 23 knives, used for tying to the fighting cocks, and 31 mobile phones from their possession.
Based on the reliable information, the SOT along with the local police in Yacharam mandal raided Signaram farmhouse where organisers are said to have been regularly conducting the cockfights on the outskirts of Rangareddy district. Further investigation is on.
