Distraught lovers attempt suicide
Lovers made a suicide attempt by consuming pesticide on the banks of River Godavari near Manthani on Tuesday. According to the police, Kaveti Thirupathi (22), a native of Chellaipet of Chennur mandal and Nirmal (19) of Algam of Kotapalli mandal of Adilabad district, were in love for past some time. They have decided to end their lives as their parents refused to accept their marriage.

They have decided to end their lives as their parents refused to accept their marriage.
On Tuesday morning, they reached the banks of the river and consumed pesticide brought along with them. Some passersby who found the couple in unconscious condition, informed the matter to the police, who rushed to the spot and admitted them in a local government hospital. Later, they were shifted to the district headquarters hospital for better treatment. Manthani police registered the case and took up investigation.
