The Cyberabad Police on Thursday conducted naka bandi in the commissionerate limits and seized Rs. 80 lakh unaccounted cash and detained 13 suspects. As many as 133 checking points were set up and about 3,000 policemen participated in checking vehicles and other places like lodges, hotels, bus stations and railway stations.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police on Thursday conducted naka bandi in the commissionerate limits and seized Rs. 80 lakh unaccounted cash and detained 13 suspects. As many as 133 checking points were set up and about 3,000 policemen participated in checking vehicles and other places like lodges, hotels, bus stations and railway stations.
During searches, the police have seized Rs. 80 lakh unaccounted cash that was being transported in a car at Madhapur, silver coins weighing 6.5 kg, some liquor bottles from Bala Nagar area and 51 bikes. They also have taken 13 persons to custody. For traffic violations, the police have imposed a penalty of Rs 1.17 lakh on 3,813 motorists.
