5 member gang of mobile thieves held
In a special operation, the Saifabad police on Thursday nabbed five persons of an eight-member Meerut-based gang that indulged in several cases of diversion of attention and stealing. Police recovered smartphones worth Rs 25 lakh from them.
In a special operation, the Saifabad police on Thursday nabbed five persons of an eight-member Meerut-based gang that indulged in several cases of diversion of attention and stealing. Police recovered smartphones worth Rs 25 lakh from them.
The team caught three persons red-handedly when they were committing the offence and further arrested two persons from their hideout.
The arrested persons were working for one Bura alias Gora, who stays in Meerut. Bura took advantage of the poor financial condition of these persons and lured them at an early age with attractive amounts and trained them to commit offences.
Nayeem and Imran were supervising the teams, the police said. The arrested gang has committed 18 offences in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Bengaluru.
