Special team to check harassment against women in workplaces
Cyberabad Police has formed a special team consisting of four women police offices to check the harassment of women at workplace and public places in the city.
​Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police has formed a special team consisting of four women police offices to check the harassment of women at workplace and public places in the city.
According to Police Commissioner Sandeep Sandilya, the special team was formed with Madhapur Zone Additional DCP SK Salima, Cyberabad Crimes ACP T Usharani, Shamshabad ACP Anuradha and IT Corridor Women Inspector Sunitha.
Sandilya said the local police would act as first respondents and further action would be initiated by the special team.
The team members would visit the complainants’ places personally and talk to them to know the facts. Their interview with complainant would be recorded, the Police Commissioner said.
Sandilya said that the police would act tough against those trying to blackmail the women by threatening to upload the photos of the latter on social media.
