Youth drowns in Godavari

Khanapur: The family of a youth, Pendala Suresh(22), of Pembi village in Nirmal district, are distraught after he was drowned in the Godavari while other members were taking holy bath on Friday.
He was among three friends who took the dip in the river. While others came out, the youth met with watery grave.
After local residents searched for the body, expert swimmers managed to locate it, said Khanapur SI Naveen. Puppala Shankar, a resident of the village, expressed sorrow over the youth’s tragic death.
