Inter student commits suicide

A second-year Intermediate student, Navitha (17) of Modegam village in Sadashivnagar mandal, allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her house on Tuesday night, unable to face the harassment of Sandipani Junior College authorities to pay the tuition fee.
Kamareddy: A second-year Intermediate student, Navitha (17) of Modegam village in Sadashivnagar mandal, allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her house on Tuesday night, unable to face the harassment of Sandipani Junior College authorities to pay the tuition fee.
While her family members claimed that Navitha had to pay only the last instalment of the examination fee, the management contended she had to also remit the college fee.
The victim reportedly pleaded with the college to allow her to make the payment after receiving scholarship, which was turned down, the family members alleged.
Following the tragic death, leaders of various student organisations staged a demonstration at the college premises on Wednesday.
