Minor girl raped at Sangam

A minor girl was sexually assaulted by a 22-year-old man at Sangam. The incident came to light when parents of the victim had lodged a complaint with police about the incident on Monday. According to sources, Murali (22) from East Street had allegedly raped a 7-year old-girl by threatening her in the town on Sunday.

The victim did not disclose the fact to anybody and even to her parents. A day after when she fell sick parents of the girl observed her and questioned the reason for illness. Minor girl had divulged the fact to her parents on the sexual assault. The police registered a case based on the complaint of parents. Sangam Sub-Inspector Venu said that they are investigating the case.
