Bodies of three drowned youth retrieved

Mancherial: Bodies of Manda Anil, Mittapalli Venu and Asampalli Mahesh, who drowned in Godavari River at Mulkala village in Hajipur mandal in Mancherial district on Sunday, were traced.

The bodies have been handed to their family members. The locals blame the officials for not putting up caution boards and illegal transportation of sand, which resulted in the formation of huge ditches on the riverbed that are causing mishaps.

The family members of the deceased were angry at the officials for responding only when such mishaps occur and criticised the officials and administration for not helping them.

The locals demanded the officials concerned to prohibit bathing at Mulkala pump House.
