Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested on the charges of receiving a supari to kill a 42-yr old Gynecologist. They received Rs 5 lakhs as advance, to kill the woman who parted ways with the prime accused, after their partnership broke over running hospitals.

According to Hayathnagar police, the prime accused, Burra Ramesh Goud, 45, was the former partner of Dr B Durga Rani, a Gynecologist and resident of Hayathnagar. Earlier, both of them were running hospitals in Karmanghat in City and another in Peddapally.

However, their partnership broke off and Ramesh had to withdraw from the partnership. Later, he developed grudge, following his arrest in various cases including a case of `fake’ doctor’s degree. After his release from jail, he approached J Ramesh, who assured him to arrange killers and introduced, Md Rafi, a native of Warangal. The prime accused had also paid Rs 5 lakhs as advance for contract killing.

Rafi conducted recce two to three times in the City and in Peddapally. He thought of making more money without killing the doctor. He started contacting the woman’s husband and cautioned him that their life was in danger. He demanded Rs 10 lakh for disclosing the name of the contract.

Based on the complaint of Gynecologist on October 16, the police began investigation and based on call data, apprehended Md Rafi and J Ramesh. The prime accused Ramesh Goud remained at large.
