Three held for extortion
The LB Nagar police on Tuesday arrested three persons in connection with an extortion case and recovered Rs 15 lakh from their possession. The accused had been identified as Sabunekar Ramesh (35), Muthyala Sanjeev Kumar (29), and Madavi Kiran (29). All the accused work at ADP private limited in Somajiguda.

The accused had been identified as Sabunekar Ramesh (35), Muthyala Sanjeev Kumar (29), and Madavi Kiran (29). All the accused work at ADP private limited in Somajiguda.
According to Commissioner of Police Mahesh M Bhagawat, the accused persons bore grudge against their boss for not promoting them to the next level. So, they called their senior manager Srinivas Marrimakulla (40) to hotel Sitara on the pretext of partying in September 2017.
However, when Srinivas went to the hotel, they attacked him and threatened to file case against him and demanded money from him. With fear, Srinivas paid Rs 15 lakh to the accused. After Srinivas’s resignation as Senior Manager, he filed a complaint with police.
Based on the complaint a case had been booked under Section 384, 323, 506 read with 34 IPC with LB Nagar police station and a probe is on.
