Hyderabad: Continuing their efforts to dig deep into the alleged data theft case registered against IT Grid India company, the Cyberabad police are leaving no stone unturned in their investigation. The police sought the help of ‘ethical hackers’ to retrieve the data stored in hard disks of computers and laptops, besides electronic gadgets.

The police were forced to seek the help of the ethical hackers because the data is password-protected. The police found it difficult to open the computers and laptops, besides electronic gadgets, as the IT Grids CEO D Ashok is still at large.

According to sources, the ethical hackers had already succeeded in retrieving highly sensitive data from the password-protected computers. The sources said as much as 40 GB data was recovered from the hard disks and other gadgets. Meanwhile, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is likely to present its report to the police on the data on Thursday.
