Rajahmundry: Visalandhra Mahasabha (VM) urged people not to allow political leaders into Samaikyandhra movement which is being carried out voluntarily. The Mahasabha opined that the State would remain united only if people’s representatives from Seemandra tendered their resignations. President and secretary of VM Nalabolu Chakravarthi and Srinivasa Reddy spoke to the media at Rajahmundry Press Club on Sunday.

Representatives of VM called upon the people not to handover the cause of united Andhra to political parties. They have made it clear that there are no differences between the people of the State and the agitation is going on only between separatist and united forces. They expressed doubts that the political leaders might backstab the movement.

They urged the people not to trust either TDP which has changed its stance from two-eyes to one eye or the YSRCP which has changed its position in favour of Samaikyandhra in the last minute. They observed that the Congress high command is pursuing the British policy of ‘Divide and Rule’. They called upon the people to reject the bifurcation decision taken by Mrs Sonia Gandhi for the coronation of Rahul Gandhi. They found fault with Union ministers Chiranjeevi, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Purandeswari and Pallam Raju for giving priority to their posts by backstabbing Telugu people. They questioned Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar for keeping mum over Samaikyandhra movement after conducting several meetings in support of Samaikyandhra.

They objected to the linking of Alipiri incident which was the handiwork of handful of people with Samaikyandhra movement. They demanded release of Samaikyandhra leaders who were arrested.
