The vacation bench of the AP High Court in Hyderabad on Friday directed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) not to declare results of IAS selections without permission of the court.

The bench of Justice L Narasimha Reddy and Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu was dealing with writ plea filed by Madhavi Krishnamoorthy an IAS aspirant. The petitioner sought a direction to the Central government to consider her for one of the vacant IAS posts.

Additional Advocate General KG Krishna Murthy pointed out that though the Central Administrative Tribunal had stayed the selection process, a division bench of the High Court had stayed the order and directed the UPSC to go ahead with the selection process and made it clear that any selection and promotion would be subjected to the final outcome.

While directing the UPSC not to announce the list, the bench directed the Registrar to post the case along with similar petitions pending before the court.
