State government has been exploring various options to hold the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on February 9. It has decided to speak to the leaders of APNGOs and the Seemandhra teachers’ JAC to seek their cooperation in conducting the exam smoothly in a day or two.
Senior officials have reported the situation to the Minister for Secondary Education K Parthasarathy but he was busy with political developments. Meanwhile, the District Educational Officers of 13 Seemandhra districts have stated that they cannot hold the exam under the present tense situation. The officials are of the view, the deferment would be the last option and would be taken only their efforts of dialogue with the leaders of APNGOs and teachers fail.
