A programme on the theme, ‘Hyderabad, from its formation to future, a journey’, was organised by students of Ghulam Ahmed College of Education, Sultan Ul Uloom Education Society on March 12.
The event detailed the journey of Hyderabad from ‘Bhagyanagar to Cyberabad’. The students presented the details about the life in Hyderabad during the Qutub Shahi period, the formation of Hyderabad city, construction of the legendary Charminar, etc. The high light of this era was a Baith Baazi program by the students. Next the Asaf Jahi era was showcased, from the legendary jewels to the exquisite cuisine, from the establishment of educational institutions to the beautification of the city, every detail was covered.
The post independence era stressed on the development of the IT sector in the City, how Hyderabad emerged as a strong industrial, commercial and technological center.
The programme offered a fascinating panorama of the past.
