New Delhi: The standing committee constituted by University Grants Commission (UGC) met on Tuesday and has recommended a revised structure of 14 main and two concurrent subjects for Delhi University's 2013 four-year undergraduate batch students. The 10-member committee was constituted by the commission June 23 with representatives from UGC, DU teachers and students to advise and help the varsity on migration to a three year programme. The meeting was also attended by DU Dean of Colleges Malashri Lal. The recommendation will be sent to DU and the authority Tuesday night itself or Wednesday and they will have the final say on how the restructuring is to be undertaken. With continued protest from students and teachers, the varsity which had constituted a committee of principals to help in admission modalities has further increased its ambit.
