Telugu Boy Pathuri Rohith Wins Silver Medal At IIT-Kharagpur. Telugu student Pathuri Rohith, who topped in E&ECE department at IIT- Kharagpur, was awarded the ‘Institute Silver Medal’ for being the best student with CGPA of 9.28/10 at the 60th annual convocation of IIT- Kharagpur.

Pathuri RohithHyderabad: Telugu student Pathuri Rohith, who topped in E&ECE department at IIT- Kharagpur, was awarded the ‘Institute Silver Medal’ for being the best student with CGPA of 9.28/10 at the 60th annual convocation of IIT- Kharagpur. Rohith also received the departmental fellowship with full fee waiver for PhD at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and also secured admissions in many other prestigious universities like Georgia Tech, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Purdue University.

Rohith was placed in EBay/Paypal through campus placements while he was in his fourth year with a package of Rs 21.5 lakh per annum. He completed his schooling from Gowtham Concept School, Gudiwada, in 2008-2010 with 60 per cent. Subsequently he did Intermediate from Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, Gudawalli, Vijayawada, with full fee waiver based on merit. He achieved all-India open category rank of 383 in IIT-JEE 2010 and joined E&ECE (Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering), IIT- Kharagpur.
