Hyderabad: As many as 7,226 seats in pharmacy, biotechnology and pharma-D are left vacant in TS and AP.

The seat allotment for the said courses was done on Wednesday night.

About 2,707 seats in Andhra University and Sri Venkateshwara University regions (AP) and 4,519 seats in Osmania University (Telangana) region were not filled after the allotment. A total of 8,133 in AP and 10,492 convener seats were up for grab in 169 colleges in AP and 199 colleges in Telangana under SW-I counselling.

As many as 48,848 in AU, SVU regions and 44,452 in OU region qualified in the examination. Only 6,027 students in AP and 6,575 in Telangana region attended the certificate verification process and 11,844 candidates exercised the options. However, 5,426 in AP and 5,973 in Telangana were allotted seats in biotechnology, pharma-D and pharmacy.

Candidates can download the allotment order and challan from the official website. Students can pay the fee through challan in any Indian Bank or Andhra Bank branch across the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

EAMCET convenor informed that candidates should report to the allotted college on or before October 10.

It remains to be seen whether there would be a second phase of counselling for the remaining seats. The higher education officials say there may not be a second phase as the academic schedule has already begun.
