CBSE holds a conference for principals

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Sahodaya Schools Complex (HSSC), an association of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Schools, has organised 2120, a conference for the principals to discuss their best practices for the holistic development of the students.

The conference witnessed over 200 principals and other members of the schools sharing their ideas, knowledge and experience at a hotel on Saturday.

Iffat Ibrahim, Principal, Chirec School emphasised that schools need to change according to the requirements of the society and added that in the present context students were being created for jobs that do not exist.

“Students, teachers and staff of schools should have character education. Schools need to develop core value system which should not only help the student studying in the school but others as well,” opined Ravi Prasad, Principal, Vikas Concept School.

Another principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School, Jubilee Hills, C Rama Devi apprised the audience of their eco-friendly projects that their school had taken up.

Meanwhile, principals at the conference unanimously said students should be allowed to use technology for learning, at the same time there was a need to monitor them due to spurt in cyber crimes. They felt teachers should apprise students of negative sides of the technology.
