After much delay, the Andhra Pradesh government has finally decided to conduct the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (PolyCET) on May 29. In the wake of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, a decision was taken to conduct separate examination in Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad: After much delay, the Andhra Pradesh government has finally decided to conduct the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (PolyCET) on May 29. In the wake of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, a decision was taken to conduct separate examination in Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh. The decision on the same was taken during the meeting between both the state Chief Secretaries with additional secretary of Ministry of Human Resource Development recently.

They also decided to maintain the presidential orders, i.e. ratio of 42:36:22 in Andhra University, Osmania University and Sri Venkateswara University regions for the courses offered in the state wide institutions. The notification will be issued on Saturday, sale of booklets and application will begin on April 26. Last date for apply through help centres is May 11. The examination will be conducted on May 29 and results will be announced on June 8.
