Hyderabad: An eight-member committee would be constituted for distribution of files and records of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) in Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Four members each would be drawn from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to look into the files distribution for smooth conduct of Eamcet counselling.

AP State Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari along with other officials holding a joint meeting at the Telangana Secretariat on Tuesday

Speaking to newspersons at a joint press conference by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari and AP State Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao after both Ministers met at the former’s chambers in the Secretariat on Tuesday, Srihari said the AP government had requested for handover of files and records of APSCHE which were with TSCHE.

“During the meeting, we agreed to requests of the AP government for distribution of files. Accordingly, a committee will be constituted with four members each drawn from both the governments for distribution of the records and files,” Srihari said. The Telangana Deputy Chief Minister said National Informatics Centre was totally bifurcated and Eamcet counselling could be held without any hiccups as both the governments had separate servers and computers. Ganta said that Eamcet counselling had been scheduled from June 12 and files relating to conduct of Eamcet counselling were with TSCHE.

“We have raised the same with the Telangana government and almost all issues have come to a logical end. Cellar in the Sanketika Vidya Bhavan will be used by AP and the first floor by Telangana,” he said. Over the use of office space, Kadiyam stated that with the case being pending in the Supreme Court, the government would consult the Attorney General for a decision, provided the AP government puts a requisition.
