Why most corporate employees endure than quit? HR message from snake

Every animal in nature has to work hard to have its food. Food gathering is the main task of every living being on earth. If food were available in plenty, the threat to life is also plenty, the best example being – herbivores.

Look at the life of snakes. Finding a prey is difficult for them. Even if they have located one, they have to catch them carefully and have to swallow them too. Snakes cannot grind or cut the prey and then eat. If the corporate follow a snake that had just finished its meal, a wonderful management message can be learned.

After a prey being swallowed by the snake, they move to a safe place to hide as the snakes after its meal cannot move fast. It means, they cannot escape if they encounter a predator or threat after they had swallowed a prey. If they encounter a threat or a predator, they immediately vomit the prey that they had swallowed and then run to a safer place. By vomiting the prey only they can make themselves light and free to move fast.

The snake will have put enormous effort to find a prey and it may run to several days to months. Even to swallow the prey also, they have to put enormous effort. However, when the snake after its meal encounters any threat, they immediately vomit (abandon) their food that they had swallowed and moves away. The whole existence of their life itself is only for food and procreation. But at times, they just drop their hard ‘earning or achievement’. Because they know they can achieve the same once again provided they are safe.

Many employees aspire and nurture desire to join some organization. With their continuous effort, sometime they also might able to join the organization of their choice. Once they joined, they love to hang onto the same organization irrespective of all odds and humiliations. Whether the corporate respect their role or not, they were rewarded or neglected, prefers to continue in the same organization. They believe that only with great effort and dream they could join the organization and hence they believe that it is unwise even to think of leaving the organization whatever be the reason warrants.

What they had achieved, they cannot depart. Look at the wisdom of a snake. It had made an achievement. But it doesn’t care to loose (vomit) the same when there is a reason. It knows the truth that sometime the achievement itself can become burden and can cost the existence.

Unfortunately many corporate employees never think that by compromising, they are killing their talents and capabilities. What they have achieved once (able to join the organization) become meaningless (when their role is not respected or recognized), they should explore the world of opportunities rather than limiting their talents to what they had achieved years ago.

One has to loose what one has gained to gain something else. Constantly gaining something should be the goal and philosophy of life and not settle with what has been achieved once.
