Scorpion, Its Poison And Pincer – Know The Leadership Style Of People In Your Corporate. How true is the statement that only the smaller scorpion is more poisonous when compared to the larger ones? Is there any scientific data point to support the above claim
How true is the statement that only the smaller scorpion is more poisonous when compared to the larger ones? Is there any scientific data point to support the above claim? How the poison in a scorpion can go less or less effective between a small and large scorpion? Is there any management substance in the above enquiry for the corporate? Indeed, there is a great corporate management message do large and small scorpions conveys to the corporate world.
It is true to some extent that the smaller scorpions are more dangerous than the bigger or the larger ones. One needs to know the anatomy of the scorpion behaviour to understand the real corporate management insight of how and why the smaller scorpion appears more poisonous than the larger ones.
Scorpions use their ‘pincers’ to inject the poison. The smaller ones naturally will not have well grown, large pincer when compared to the larger ones. The larger ones indeed have well grown strong pincers to attack.
The smaller scorpions, hence cannot take the advantage of their pincers as they are not strong or either long. So, the smaller scorpions relay largely upon their ‘poison’ to deal their enemies. In most instances, the smaller scorpion uses its poison during attack and hence the victim suffers the worst whenever the attack comes from a smaller one.
Whereas the larger scorpions rarely only use the poison and most instances, it uses its long pincer to attack. Using the poison so lavishly or without any foresight would cause nothing less than huge expenditure to the scorpions. This insight is well known to the large scorpion. But for the smaller ones, such option cannot be adopted because of the small pincer they have.
In most attacks, the larger scorpions only give physical pain and seldom use the poison. Instead of spending the poison, they use their large pincers to attack whereas the smaller ones use the poison as they do not have powerful pincers.
The corporate must take this management insight to understand why they always blame managers and people in the lower cadre and believe that they only play all dirty politics in the corporate whereas the top management is more cultured, matured and civilized.
There is no truth in the above HR understanding or belief. Both, the people at the lower level and top management do carry the same culture and behavioural traits.
The people at the top management level has the decision making power and hence they prefer to deal people with such powers. Whereas, the employees at manager and below the order, does not have such power, so they often resort to gossip, spreading canard and playing dirty politics etc., to a larger extent.
If someone is gossiping around in the corporate does not mean that they worth only for gossiping and similarly, if someone refrain from doing so, needs not be considered culturally evolved.
The corporate should not use such definitions to describe people and they need to go a little deeper to understand the true behaviour and leadership style of people. Conclusion should always be based on ‘what is’ and not based on how one understands it. Our personalized interpretations should not be allowed to adulterate the conclusion process.
It is not true that the people at the lower level do all nonsense while the people at the top level are very posh and polished. The leadership style and behaviour of people in the corporate is driven largely by either the limitations or the decision making powers.
Understand the dynamics of the leadership styles of people by learning the management principles from nature and guide the people to make decisions that are absolutely free from any malicious intent. Help them to break the limitations as well.
