To mark the third anniversary of Planet 21, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre celebrated the occasion by undertaking environment friendly activities and spreading the message- ‘Nothing is lost, everything is transformed’. Several activities focusing on health and resource optimisation with an objective to reduce carbon footprints and save environment organised by the staff included a blood donation camp by Red Cross
To mark the third anniversary of Planet 21, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre celebrated the occasion by undertaking environment friendly activities and spreading the message- ‘Nothing is lost, everything is transformed’. Several activities focusing on health and resource optimisation with an objective to reduce carbon footprints and save environment organised by the staff included a blood donation camp by Red Cross, health awareness session on fitness, eye and dental check-up, cycle sale for employees to promote the concept of cycle to work, building a wall with recycled plastic bottles, pollution check, tree plantations and greenlunch.
The activities received a good participation from employees and guests at the property. According to Neil Paterson, general manager of Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC, “The Planet 21 programme which was launched amidst fanfare in the year 2012 has been very successful and has received fantastic response from everyone across the globe. We have decided to take sustainable development to new heights covering the group’s entire environmental, social and community investment actions and placing sustainability at the core of their business strategy worldwide.
With the present year’s theme, we aim to create awareness on sustainable development by mobilising our employees, guests and partners to actively contribute to the cause.” He added that the organisation is deepening its focus on preserving the ecosystems in which their hotels operate. “We strongly believe that nothing is lost everything is transformed and the constantly focus in creating an ecological balance and preserving nature at our property,” he concluded.
