Rain or thundershowers forecast for TS, Rayalaseema. Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Telangana, Rayalaseema and coastal AP during the next four days. Similarly, heavy rain will occur at a few places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East & West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur in coastal AP, and Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa and Chittoor districts in Rayalaseema on June 8, the Met Office warned on Sunday.
Hyderabad: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Telangana, Rayalaseema and coastal AP during the next four days. Similarly, heavy rain will occur at a few places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East & West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur in coastal AP, and Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa and Chittoor districts in Rayalaseema on June 8, the Met Office warned on Sunday.
The Met Office said that conditions were favourable for further advancement of the South-West monsoon into some parts of Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next two days, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over coastal AP and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal is persisting.
Thunderstorms were observed at isolated places in Rayalaseema between 8 30 am and 2 30 p.m on Sunday. During the last 24 hours ending at 8 30 on Sunday Rain/thundershowers occurred at a few places in coastal AP and at isolated places in Telangana and Rayalaseema.
According to Met dept, the chief amounts of rainfall in Andhra Pradesh(in cm) were: Yelamanchili, Tada 3 each, Rapur, Dowleswaam, Koyyalagudem, Amalapuram, Palakoderu, Yemmiganur, 2 each. Telangana (in cm): Maddur, Jangaon, Shayampet 5 each, Parkal 4, Narmetta, Hyderabad, Heemadevarpalle, Narsampet,Hanmakonda,3 each.
Adilabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees celsius in the southern region. The other recordings in Telangana were: Hakimpet 35, Hanmakonda 39, Hyderabad 37, Khammam 31.8, Mahabubnagar 36.1, Medak 39.1, Nalgonda 36.4, Nizamabad 38.1,Ramagundam 39.
In Andhra Pradesh the maximum temperatures markedly fell at many places in coastal AP and fell at a few places in Rayalaseema. They were markedly below normal at one or two places in coastal AP and below normal at a few places in Rayalaseema. The highest maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tirupati.
