Bengaluru: The southwest monsoon has covered entire Karnataka, the Meteorological Centre here said on Tuesday, as it predicted more rains across the state.

It said there would be a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in Bengaluru city on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Bengaluru was expected to record a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20 degrees, said a Met official.

Bengaluru recorded a rainfall of 3.2 mm on Monday while the maximum temperature was normal at 28.5 degrees Celsius.

Across the state, Agumbe recorded the highest rainfall on Monday with 100.9 mm followed by Karwar (94.4 mm), Honnavar with (76.6 mm) and Mangaluru (69.4 mm).

Gadag, Gulbarga, Mysuru, Chitradurga, Raichur, Hassan and Mandya did not record any rainfall though widespread rainfall was forecast for the whole state on Monday.

The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday.
