Addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stones for various welfare schemes, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar said net meters would be installed for the solar energy generated by the farmers in their fields. He said they could use the power for their needs and sell the surplus to the government.

Coming down heavily on the Telugu Desam supremo Chandrababu Naidu and said he used to tell lies when he was in power and he was continuing the same when out of power also. He said the promise of Chandrababu that he would write of agriculture debts is false and added that it was impractical. He said last time debts to the tune of Rs, 13000 crores were written off. Now it would amount to Rs. 72 thousand crores.

To write off such huge sum was not practical, he said. Kiran Kumar Reddy said the opposition leader was posing as saviour of Backward Classes but did nothing to uplift them when he was in power. He said TDP government spent only Rs. 150 crores for the welfare of minorities in its nine year rule, while Congress government spent more than thousand crore rupees in a single year.

He said his government was striving to get national project status for Pranahita-Chevella and Polavaram projects. He said nine crore farmers were getting loans to the tune of Rs. 72 thousand crores this year. "You pay the principal, the government would pay the interest," he told the farmers.

Former PCC President and MLC D Srinivas did not attend the programs of the Chief Minister. Even though it was prominently mentioned in Invitations, the district in-charge minister Mukesh Goud and Panchayat raj minister K Jana Reddy did not attend. Even though his name did not figure in the Invitation, Nizamabad MP Madhu Yaski Goud attended the CM's functions.
