Hyderabad: The TPCC has alleged that the TRS was scripting conspiracy for ensuring GHMC elections to deceive the people of Hyderabad once again with hollow promises. After releasing the GHMC election manifesto at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that the Congress party strived for the development of the Hyderabad in all aspects by constructing Outer Ring Road, fly-overs to solve the traffic problem and brought Krishna, Godavari water to the City and established International Airport, IT development, Bio-Tech development and widening of the City.

He said that the TRS assurances made for the GHMC elections were not possible to fulfil them. Explaining the development done by the Congress party, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that their party brought Metro Rail project, ITIR Project, new buses and the construction of nalas etc during its rule. He alleged that the TRS government assured the Hyderabadis of free Wi-Fi but not yet implemented it. Alleging that the TRS did nothing to the Hyderabad in its 18- month rule, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS party was trying to win the elections with its mere ‘words’.

Claiming that their rule was golden period for Baldia, Congress promised to supply cooking gas through pipelines to all households in the city and 100 percent subsidy to roof-top solar system for slum dwellers. If voted to power in the upcoming GHMC elections, they also assured to provide free drinking water in the City. The party promises to provide ownership rights on sites, the slum dwellers are staying by constructing 2-bed room houses.

It shall fix quota for SC, ST, BC, Minority, Physically Challenged, Ex-Servicemen on pro-rata basis under ‘Free House Sites Programme’. It will set up free PHCs (Primary Health Centre) and UHCs (Urban Health Centre) in every division of GHMC and shall provide the complete free immunisation services to all the infants and children with vaccines. On the occasion, the TPCC president released a pamphlet on the development did by the Congress party in its 10 years rule and a songs CD.

Opposition leader in Legislative Council Shabbir Ali, Manifesto Committee Chairman Nagaiah, MLC Akula Lalitha, former Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, Rangareddy DCC president K Mallesh, NRI Cell Chairman Vinod Kumar, Marri Adithya Reddy and others participated in the programme.
