Hyderabad: The TPCC which is making every effort to make inroads into the Old City held a massive road show on Friday evening. The road show was led by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh. Accompanied by TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Digvijay Singh led a rally from Chandrayangutta to Khilwat Grounds.

Also, Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, AICC Secretary R C Khuntia, CLP Secretary T Ram Mohan Reddy, Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav, GHCC Minorities Department chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail, GHCC general secretary Syed Nizamuddin and other senior leaders participated in the rally.

Addressing the road show, Digvijay Singh said that the MIM was not serious on the development of Muslim community and its leaders were completely focused on individual growth. "MIM leaders have aligned with the communal forces like BJP, Shiv Sena and other outfits of Sangh Parivar. Their entry was aimed at division of Muslim votes which directly benefitted the BJP and Shiv Sena.

Their attempts to divide secular votes were foiled by the people of Bihar. Similarly, people of Hyderabad, especially Old City, should reject MIM so as to defeat communal forces," the AICC leader said. Digvijay Singh said that MIM leaders Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi grew stronger with the help of Muslim votes.

But they never cared about the development of Muslim community. He said that the Congress nourished MIM by mistaking it to be a secular party. However, he announced that the Congress would never ally with MIM in future.

The AICC leader also slammed Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao and dubbed him as 'Mini Modi'. He also targeted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and said he has become a part of Sangh Parivar by joining the NDA government at the Centre.
