Nandamuri Balakrishna joining active politics had been a hot topic of discussion in AP political circles for quite some time. Balayya's success tour titled Simha yatra added fuel to speculation that the actor was touring places to gain political mileage.

However, his name did not figure in the first list of Seemandhra candidates following which Balayya met TDP chief and brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu. The duo is said to have deliberated over the place where the actor can contest.

Later, there were reports that Balayya was eyeing the Hindupur Assembly seat which was represented by the late NT Rama Rao.

But today, the actor seems to be feeling jittery over joining active politics. In what could be seen as a hint by Balayya that he would limit himself to political campaigning, a regional news channel reported that Balayya did not sound as assertive and confident as he did till now.

Party insiders say that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu advised the actor against contesting polls. And looks like his words are gospel as Balayya seems to be doing some serious contemplation over brother-in-law's golden words.
