‘YSR, KVP offered thousands of crores to stop T movement’
K Chandrasekhar Rao: ‘YSR, KVP Offered Thousands of Crores to Stop Telangana Movement’, Stated that Seemandhra sections were very worried since their misdeeds in grabbing one lakh acre of ‘Bhoodan’ lands in and around Hyderabad would be exposed if TRS formed government in the state.
Hyderabad: The TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday appealed to the voters of Ranga Reddy district to be alert and make a judicious decision while casting their vote as the Ranga Reddy district suffered most in all fields during last 60 years. Addressing a big gathering at Chevella on Saturday, Rao stated that Seemandhra sections were very worried since their misdeeds in grabbing one lakh acre of ‘Bhoodan’ lands in and around Hyderabad would be exposed if TRS formed government in the state.
These lands are in the possession of families and friends of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, N Chandrababu Naidu and even film star Nagarjuna among others, he alleged. He said that TRS government would take back illegally occupied lands including 763 acres under Gurukul trust and Wakf lands. The TRS chief stated that late CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy through his close associate KVP Ramachandra Rao had tried to lure him with huge money to see that he gives up his fight for separate statehood. KCR said, KVP approached him with and offer of thousands of crores money but he being a stubborn man refused to fall prey to such allurements and warned him to such tactics with him ever.
He charged the Congress camp of biding time by bashing him in media every day rather than going on election campaign. Rao said that lands in Ranga Reddy district would fetch crores of rupees with the completion of ITIR software project. TRS would ensure completion of 4000 MW Shankerpally power project, agriculture research centre at Chevella, effecting changes in G.O-111, construction of an excellent memorial in remembrance of T martyr, Yadi Reddy in Moinabad among others. He stressed the need to construct one more airport in Hyderabad to cater to growing population.
TRS chief appealed to people to ensure victory of all MLAs from the district besides Chevella MP candidate. He assured that at least two seniors from this district would be accommodated in the state cabinet. 12% reservation for Muslims within 4 months Speaking earlier at a public meeting in Shadnagar, TRS chief has promised to implement 12 percent reservations for Muslims within four months of coming to power in the state. He also stated that loans for women self-help groups would be hiked to Rs 10 lakh from the existing 5 lakh. The construction of Palamoor lift irrigation project, which will serve the irrigation needs of Shadnagar and rest of the Mahabubnagar district, will be given top priority.
Rao promised to construct a Fisheries research centre near Jurala project for the benefit of several fisherman families in the district. He appealed voters to shun TDP and Congress parties and support the pink party in upcoming elections for betterment of their lives. Winding up his day’s campaign at Malkajgiri, KCR vowed to transform Hyderabad into an international city devoid of slums, pollution and traffic woes if TRS formed government in the state. Each area in the city will be made like Banjara Hills with all basic amenities, he said.
“Why is that Jayaprakash Narayan and V Dinesh Reddy chose to contest from Malkajgiri and not any other parliament constituency in the region? There is presence of a considerable settlers population here and hence they want to garner votes on regional lines. Is this not inciting passions,” he asked.
