The swimming pool that would be constructed at Indira Park is said to be a world class pool.
Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain along with GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar conducted a bhoomi puja for the construction of a swimming pool at Indira Park on Monday. The swimming pool that would be constructed at Indira Park is said to be a world class pool. The budget that has been allocated for the construction of the pool is Rs 6.5 crore. The civic chief said that the construction of the pool would begin in the first week of June right after the elections. He also assured the Walkers’ Association that their morning workout would not be hindered due to the construction.Majid Hussain said that the GHMC had allocated Rs 75 crore for strengthening sports activity in the city. He also announced that a sports complex or a swimming pool would be constructed in each constituency in the near future.
